It’s a dilemma many of us face each morning when we incredulously look at our closet trying to decide what to wear. Although the longstanding rule about wearing white dictates that it must not be worn after Labor Day, sometimes rules are meant to be broken. Here are five ways to wear white this winter:
Pop your collar- the plaid woven underneath this white fleece sweater adds a dash of color to the outfit. The leather skirt contrasts the white while still keeping it the main focus. This outfit is truly “magnifique”!
Cynthia Rowley doesn’t disappoint with this chic colorblock top. The piece is sleek and elegant while still being fun and flirty. The royal blue and black makes the white look whiter and brighter!
3. Mix Fabrics
Don’t be afraid to mix fabrics! Although this 5th and Mercer skirt is rayon and nylon, make the outfit work for winter. Pair a lighter fabric with a heavier one like this Rag & Bone sweater.
Go all out! Choose a white coat this winter. Although you may have to be vigilant with cleaning white outerwear, it’s worth it! A white coat definitely sticks out in a sea of dull gray and black jackets. This Wes Gordon piece is definitely eye-catching even without the brass medallion.
5. Wear off-white
Haven’t you heard? Off-white is the new white. The cream color of this Alexander McQueen mixed knit dress is perfect for winter. Off-white is a warmer hue that maintains the panache and sophistication of regular white.

STYLE TIP: To make sure that the your holiday sweater does not look too tacky, style it with some minimal jewelry. Do not wear anything too flashy and do not down yourself in too much. Instead, opt for a classy ring or a bracelet to make sure it does not take away from your sweater or add to it to make it tacky.

Although Halloween isn’t until Thursday, our favorite celebs have been out and about in their costumes hitting up the hottest Hollywood parties.
Alessandra Ambrosio is certainly not an angel in this costume. As the evil Queen of Hearts, she and her pals dressed up as the characters from Alice and Wonderland. Regardless, she still looks like a Victoria’s Secret model!
If you couldn’t recognize Jennifer Morrison’s costume, shame on you! This blonde bombshell paid tribute to fellow blonde Cher, from the iconic cult classic, Clueless. The plaid skirt and platform heels take us back to 1995.
And the scariest costume of the night goes to- Paris Hilton. She dresssed up as Miley Cyrus at the VMA’s, but still kept the signature Paris Hilton glam. We have to say, Paris does a better Miley than Miley!
